How to Take Care of Freshly Dyed Hair

You dyed your hair a few days ago. The color still looks great on you, but you’re not sure how long the great color will last. If dyed hair is not taken care of properly the color can fade quickly and your hair can become dry which can lead to breakage. Try out these tips to make sure your hair looks like you just came back from the salon all the time.

Wash Your Hair With the Right Shampoo

You must make sure that the shampoo and conditioner you are using is meant for dyed hair. Color-safe hair products will keep your hair shiny and vibrant for longer. Additionally, if you are prone to dry hair, you may want to also consider using moisturizing shampoo. This type of shampoo doesn’t contain sulfates or harsh chemicals that strip your hair out of natural oils. By switching to a moisturizing shampoo, your hair will appear less dry after a wash day. Also, your hair will be more manageable and soft.

Don’t Use Excessive Heat

Using hair styling tools such as a blow dryer, straightener, and curling iron can add to the damage on your hair. Lots of frequent heat on dyed hair can dry out your hair so you shouldn’t use an excessive amount of heat on your hair daily, especially if you already have thin hair.If you can, try to eliminate heat from your hair regimen entirely and let your hair dry naturally.

Moisturize Your Hair

You moisturize your skin to maintain it, and you should do the same thing for your hair. Try finding a leave-in conditioner or oil to moisturize your hair from the scalp to the ends. Products with olive oil, coconut oil, and glycerin are great for to get rid of dryness.
