While it may seem impossible to eliminate acne in one week, changing certain things in your life can actually show some preliminary results in just 7 days. These natural tips should help you see results within a week.

Change Your Diet

Certain foods such as dairy, chocolate, and carbs can trigger acne outbreaks and can make your skin even worse. Commit to a well-balanced diet and include foods such as veggies, fruit, and lean protein. Greasy foods such as fast food can cause acne as well because the oil sticks to the skin and clogs your pores.

Don’t Pick Your Pimples

It may be tempting, but picking your pimples is actually one of the worst things you can do. Popping will cause inflammation to your skin and bleeding. This will require your skin more time to heal and will lead to scarring and infections.

Use Oil-Free Products

Oil-free products prevent clogged pores and allow your skin to breathe. Oftentimes, hair products can cause acne because they tend to be very heavy and oily. Look for natural and organic brands to use for your hair. Additionally oil-free moisturizers and face washes are best to use. If you can, wear oil-free makeup as well–just make sure to wash it off completely at the end of the day.

Use Natural Skin Care Products

Try to invest in natural products such as aloe vera, apple cider vinegar, and honey. All of these ingredients help acne and inflammation and can even reduce the appearance of scarring on your face. Sometimes products in the store (even if labeled they help with acne) aren’t always the best for cleaning and caring for your skin. Mixing a natural regimen into your routine may help combat your skin issues.
