In today’s world, creating gorgeous eyebrows is the latest fad. Unfortunately, not many of us were born with great eyebrows, and while there are countless tutorials on how to fill in eyebrows, nothing beats a natural eyebrow. If your eyebrows are in need of a serious makeover, give growing them out a try! Below are four simple tricks and tips on efficient ways to grow out your eyebrows and reach your desired look.

1. Put the Weapons Down

First things first, put away your tweezers, thread, and/or hot wax. This may sound obvious and crazy but if you really want your eyebrows to grow out, you have to stop plucking and waxing them. During the process of letting them grow out it is important to stay strong: hairs will grow all over, but you should resist the urge to touch them. Remember that all good things take time, so wait it out.

2. Start From Within

It is important to take care of your body on the inside before you can start to see changes on the outside. So maintain a healthy diet–vitamins A, B, C, and E are known to assist in the process of hair growth. Get your daily dose of essential vitamins and minerals by incorporating more fresh fruits and vegetables into your meals.

3. Fake It ‘Til You Make It

While you are patiently waiting for your eyebrows to grow out, it is okay to fake it ‘til you make it. By this I mean, fill in sparse sections with a brow pencil or powder. Make sure you select a product that closely resembles the color of your eyebrow. Brow gels are also recommended to keep stray hairs in place and contribute to an overall more polished look. Unwanted hairs can be concealed using a concealer powder or pen. Simply apply the concealer above and below where you filled them in, and then blend it out by dabbing. This will hide any excess hairs that are growing.

4. Try Out Brow Serum

It is important to recognize that the steps listed above will take some time, but to assist in brow growth, invest in a brow serum. Brow serums encourage hair growth at the eyebrow follicle and can be found at many department stores as well as makeup counters. Every day (or night) use will increase hair growth. After applying a brow serum, it is recommended to massage your eyebrows to stimulate growth and strengthen the hair.
