3 Breakfast Meals to Start Your Day Off Right

Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day. But it can also be the most unhealthy because typical breakfast foods tend to have the most calories and carbs. Keeping your breakfast filling and healthy can be a challenge, but starting your day off right by eating breakfast is very important.

Here are some great breakfast suggestions that make sure your meal is both delicious and nutritious, even on-the-go!

Oatmeal has some major health benefits: it is rich in both good carbs and protein that provide calories to boost your energy. It also fills you up, so that you’re not starving by 11a.m. and desperately craving lunch. Give microwaveable oatmeal or stove-top quick oats a try for a hearty breakfast. If you don’t want to deal with the hassle in the morning, prep the night before and make overnight oats in your fridge.

Easy on-the-go eating is essential because mornings can be so hectic–and lateness needs to be avoided at all costs. The solution? Breakfast smoothies! Blending together your favorite fruits and veggies is super healthy and a total time saver. Whether you’re a green smoothie gal or feeling a strawberry banana vibe, smoothies are going to become your new blended BFF.

Avocado Toast

Avocado toast is the trendiest health food right now, and rightfully so! The healthy fats and fibers in avocados, along with its many vitamins, have many health benefits and also keep your afternoon hunger at bay. Plus, who doesn’t love avocados? Spread half on your multigrain toast with a little salt and pepper for a delicious and nutritious meal: your typical every-morning-toast just got super yummy.

Oftentimes when we’re so exhausted by the end of the day, it can be a result of how we started our day. If typical breakfast foods aren’t your thing or you just want to be healthier, give these ideas a try–you won’t be disappointed!
